Another year …

This week/weekend we celebrated our son’s 9th birthday and it was so much fun. I am incredibly proud of the young man that he is growing up to be, but my mama heart is also sad that my baby boy is another year older.

I know I’ve heard it a thousand times … enjoy them while they are little because one day you will blink and they are all grown up. Y’all it is so true, I don’t know where the time has gone, it seems like just yesterday he was getting his first haircut, or learning to ride a bike. Now, hes racing dirt bikes, reading chapter books, and doing so many things without his mama’s help.

Mamas (and Dads) savor every moment you can, because our little ones grow up a little bit every day and before you know it another year will have past. Be present, for the missed moments are gone forever and time is the one thing you can never get back.

Messy, Crazy, ME

I started this blog because I need a place to confess, to ramble, to share my messy and crazy unconventional life because maybe you’re like me and you need a place to see that you are not alone.

I am a coffee-loving, Jesus following, whiskey-drinking, minimalist living, wanderlust mama just trying to find my path. Whether you are any of these or none of these, you are in good company.

Maybe your path is just as messy and crazy as mine and you feel like you can’t even imagine where your arrow is headed. I hear ya! I’ve been forward, backward, left, right, and a ring around the roses more times than I can count.

I’m here to tell you, it’s OK!

It’s ok to embrace the journey, it’s ok to love the mess, and it’s ok to ask “what the hell am I doing?”.

It’s all OK … because if we seek God’s will in all you do, he will show you which path to take (Proverbs 3:6 NLT).
